The hard drive cage can be detached by first removing the four screws located on its backside (two top, two bottom). Once the screws have been removed, pinch the plastic tabs on the front and pull the cage outward. Based on your specific system needs and/or preference, it can be rotated to the left 90 degrees from its original position and reinserted or removed completed.
The locks can be removed by flipping the switch to "OPEN", pinching the middle of the assembly, and gently pulling away from the drive bay wall. It should bend a little and release. These locks can be placed as a secondary lock for maximum drive stability, but it is not required.
The cables are meant to be routed above the device that occupies the top 5.25" drive bay. The excess can be routed behind the motherboard tray or elsewhere to reduce cable clutter.
These stand-offs are included to provide stability and alignment. They can be screwed into any of the spaces. Affixing them to the corner spaces is the recommended method.
The grommets are placed here to allow adequate space to maintain maximum compatibility with various cooling solutions.
Currently, Intel P67 Sandy Bridge, H67, and Z68 chipsets support USB 3.0 natively. The latest AMD chipsets may support USB 3.0 as well. Users need only connect the USB 3.0 front panel cable to the port indicated by their motherboard manufacturer’s user manual.
Aside from up to 5GBPS speed, it eliminates the need to run a lengthy cable to the back of the case and leaves more external ports available for other uses.
Cooler Master Megaflow 200mm fans benefit from the ability to have higher airflow (CFM) while contributing less to system noise.
Storm guard works running the USB cables of peripherals (i.e. mouse, keyboard, etc.) through the notches and plugging them in to a desired port. The Storm Guard is then secured to an available expansion slot. This helps prevent theft of your peripherals while off at LANs and other events.
Four SSD drives can be installed in the CM Storm Enforcer. Two in a dedicated 2.5" drive cage and the others use two converted 3.5" drive bays.
