Tech Arkade | Jan 18, 2010 | English | Cooler Master Sniper Black Edition Case |
The Cooler Master Sniper Black Edition really
doesn't seem like a mid-tower. It's more like a small full-tower case
that has almost an endless amount of features. When building my rig
into this case I ran into 0 problems. It's big enough that I didn't
have to try hard at all when putting the TRUE on, which can sometimes
be a very laborious task.
Airflow in this case is very surprising
when take into consideration the amount of noise it doesn't make. With
the fans turned all the way down, my loudest component is the Sapphire
HD5870. With the fans turned on high, the cases noise is still a bit
quiter than my 5870 at idle fans of 21%. With 2 exhause fans and 1
intake fan practically right on the CPU, the TRUE keeps my CPU @ 3.4GHz
topping out at 48 degrees C, which is very nice since I have 2 low
profile Noctua fans on it. Another nice feature relating to the fans is
the lighting. At night, the case doesn't punch you in the face with
light, but instead it maintains a nice looking glow, and if you really
don't like lights in your case, you can turn them off with just the
touch of a button. |

| For those of you who actually are looking for a LAN chassis, this may in fact be the case that does the job. With handles incorporated into the top, I was easily able to handle the roughly 35-40 pounds of case and equipment. For those who aren’t into LAN events, this is still one sexy piece of hardware for your desktop. | ||||

Benchmarkreviews.com | Dec 14, 2009 | English | Benchmark Reviews Editors Choice Awards 2009 |
| The mid-tower ATX computer case category is the most fiercely competitive market segment in the aftermarket industry, with literally hundreds of enclosures available to builders. Benchmark Reviews originally tested the CM Storm Sniper in January of 2009, and in the months that followed Cooler Master added several more names to the CM Storm series of mid-tower computer cases (such as the CM Storm Scout Gaming Case SGC-2000-KKN1-GP and CM Storm Sniper Black Edition). The CM Sniper SGC-6000-KXN1-GP model sells for $159.99, and delivers a wealth of premium-level components to the middle-market price segment. The cooling performance alone was enough to win our Golden Tachometer Award, and the added features at a reduced price all come together nicely in this gaming case to earn the Benchmark Reviews Editor's Choice Award for 2009. | ||||

Umlan.com | Nov 20, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Sniper Black - Review |
| Approved by gamers, Sniper Black is held together by strong steel and never ending respect for the modern warfare weapons. This case definitely stands out in the crowd and of course by itself. The ease of use and that stylish look brings out some of its greatest features and specifications, well they speak for themselves. I absolutely loved this case and writing on it as it deserves nothing but the best! Having a window mod (sold separately) I strongly believe that this case is a winner at any lan party contest. With the price tag anywhere between 150 and 170 USD its no brainier who is the winner. It gives me a great pleasure to award Sniper Black with the highest rank 10/10!! Awesome case! | ||||

Legit Reviews | Nov 11, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sniper Black Edition Case |
| This is
one very nice case. It has loads of room and is relatively light. It gives the
end user the ability to remove unwanted items, add in needed items, and
reconfigure fan locations. As open as the case is it is very quiet; on low you
don’t even know the system is running. With the addition
of the extra 200mm fan, blacked out interior, the mouse pad, and the Sniper’s
standard features and build quality, to me it’s worth every dime. |

Overclockers Club | Nov 11, 2009 | English | CoolerMaster Storm Sniper Black Edition Review |
| What a case we have here today! CoolerMaster not only took the performance crown, but even took my breath away with awesome features like an all-black interior, full tool-less drive and expansion installation and three 200mm fans. What is not to like about this case? [...] There is something for everyone here [...] The ability to lock down your high dollar peripherals is an interesting feature, not to mention the fan and lighting controls [...] Great looks, innovative features and great cooling performance, are a tough combo to beat. | ||||
|
Hardware Canucks | Nov 09, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sniper Black Edition |
| The Sniper features three enormous 200mm fans that make this case into a miniature wind tunnel while a fan controller is included to allow users to adjust the airflow and noise to their liking. The design of the interior serves to amplify the cooling benefits and even an amateur builder can make wires virtually disappear. The original Sniper is arguably one of the best cases for cabling that we have come across and the Black Edition makes things even better [...] Steel reinforced bracing is reassuring for those dragging it around to LAN parties, and installation of the components is made easy with by a unique screw-less system. And best of all, the improvements to the case haven't caused the cost to skyrocket. It rings in at the same modest price tag as the original model. Undoubtedly, the Cooler Master Storm Sniper Black Edition is "Dam Good". | ||||
|
Benchmark Reviews | Nov 07, 2009 | English | CM Storm Sniper Black Edition Gaming Case (9.25 out of 10) |
| I think it's obvious by now that I like this case a lot. For someone who is constantly making changes to their system, it's a joy to work in such a spacious environment. There's tons of room for cable management, so you don't feel like you're doing laser surgery when pulling an additional cable or two through the cutouts. It looks great, will cool anything I throw in it, and I can dial the fans down when I want to catch some Zs. All for less than a buck fifty. I don't change cases all that often, but this one is tempting me to make it the new standard. I can't imagine a better endorsement. | ||||

Hartware.net | Oct 26, 2009 | German | CM Storm Sniper Black Edition |

Neoseeker | Oct 22, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Sniper Black Edition Review |
| The Black Edition of the Sniper is every bit as good a case as the original and then some. Extras that Cooler Master has added like the painted interior and SSD brackets make this one of the best equipped cases around, in my opinion. The case itself is very well made, extremely sturdy with a durable finish inside and out [...] Simple lines with an uncompromising physique make the styling very appealing. With the plethora of options in the Cooler Master Sniper Black Edition and its new made to order finish, it is a great case and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade or just beginning a new build. | ||||

| The Sniper was a winner from the outset, its won many awards, since release its also gained many fans. So it was the right choice for CM to leave the design as it was. The Black Edition brings the case bang up to date with the latest trend [...] The long and short of it is by keeping the Black Edition simple it made a great case better. Its kept all the award winning features but just made the package feel more mature. The black internals really do bring a feel of quality to the table. | ||||

| Once again Coolermaster have produced a very functional, good looking case with some nice toolless innovations. While I usually like to come up with some negative points on a case, as no product is perfect, there's very little wrong with this one [...] this is a fantastic case, with great cooling, excellent build quality and some top notch features. If you're looking for a new case, I can't recommend it enough. | ||||

Vortez Hardware | Oct 06, 2009 | English | CM Storm Sniper Black Edition Case Review |
| I’ll be straight to the point. The CM Storm Sniper Black is an epic case. It pushes all the boundaries, enabling it to qualify as one of the best gaming cases out on the market at the moment. The structure is solid, well designed and comes almost fully tool-less making installing any components an absolute breeze. What will appeal to most enthusiasts is that the CM Storm Sniper Black facilitates tall CPU coolers and long graphics cards making it a very expandable enclosure. | ||||

Overclockers HQ | Sep 08, 2009 | English | Cooler Master CM Storm Sniper Gaming Chassis Review |
| So, would I recommend it? Hells ya. To be perfectly clear I found that this case, in my opinion, has to be one of the most perfect cases I have ever seen. With tons of room to work in, great cooling options, and a chassis as solid as a brick $#!+ house I find it hard to see this case fail. Combine that with its great military design, the ability to turn the fans LEDs on and off (if that’s an option the fans support) you get an amazing case that I think almost every gamer should have. | ||||

LANOC | Jul 23, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sniper |
| I found the case to be very easy to work in due to its tool-less components and the amazing amount of wire hiding space with the bulged side panels. The Sniper held up well to being moved around and even being dropped at MML a few weeks ago. The large fans have kept my 920 cool even when overclocked and when using the included fan speed controller the case was quiet (with the fans on high they do make a bit of noise). Of course it takes a while to get used to the space heater styling, with the addition of a side window the case does look fairly sharp though (available in the Cooler Master store). If you are like me and plan on hitting up a few lan partys each year and you need more room than the Scout has the Sniper is a good choice. | ||||

RBMods.com | Jun 08, 2009 | English | CM Sniper Case Review |
| As alot of reviews have already shown this is a great case, I really enjoyed reviewing it and I could really see that they have aimed this case at gamers. You have handles on the case to move it around, fan controller to keep the case stable and cool while gaming, and also alot of plugins at the front of the case to make it easy to plug additional units in. Building a computer with this case was very nice as I did not scratch my hands or have any compatability problems, I can't say it looks bad either so thus far I have not seen any cons. The fans are a tad loud at stock speed but the fan controller will take care of most of the noise which makes the 200mm fans run pretty silent. | ||||

TweakTown | Jun 04, 2009 | English | CyberPower Black Mamba Venom Core i7 975EE Gaming System |
| One of my favourite views of the Sniper case; the side panel is just sexy but really comes to life when the system is on and you can see all of the motherboard lights dancing around. The other side of the case is solid but is designed so you can route cables, keeping them out of sight as well as out of the natural air flow of the case. | ||||

| We admire the overall rugged and manly look of the Sniper. Tossing in three fans (two of them 200mm blue LED fans...WOW) was a nice bonus that will help chill any hardware installed in this case. The almost entirely tool-less installation made the task quick and painless. And coming out of it with no scratched or bloody knuckles was another little added bonus. Having a well designed cooler replacement hole was icing on the cake. We are ecstatic to see that cooler replacement would not require motherboard removal. |

NinjaLane | Apr 20, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sniper Case Review |
| The CM Storm Sniper is geared towards a certain type of gamer and it is the LAN Party guy. Still it has enough awesome features that it can make any person looking for a cool looking mid-tower happy. Everything about the CM Storm Sniper is of great quality with having a slight minimal feel to it. The CM Storm Sniper is not super heavy like it looks by using some plastic parts to keep the weight down while not compromising quality or strength. The overall look is a rugged toughness that Cooler Master pulls off nicely and fits perfect with the LAN Party scene. | ||||

neoseeker | Apr 15, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sniper review |
| Designed for the gaming masses, this full sized case is going to be able to hold all of your hardware, and keep it cool at the same time. I found this case to be very appealing to the eye with its smooth lines, and blue back lit LED's. This case is a worthwhile investment for your system, if you're looking for cool temps and great looks while saving a few bucks. The Sniper is a very well made case, with the easy to use tool less features, installation or expansion of whatever you want to through inside could not be easier there is plenty of room for you to work with especially with the fantastic wire management system. This case can be purchased anywhere from $180.00 to $220.00 CDN and I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a new home for their rig. | ||||

| Certainly a chassis aimed at the gaming masses, the CM Storm Sniper hits the scene loaded with features that every gamer will appreciate. Large fans pushing a decent amount of air, plenty of ventilation, cool lighting, built in handles, security features and a sturdy built chassis with enough room for a truly serious system. Overall, I have to say my experience with the with the CM Storm Sniper has been a great one. I love the case, being a modder I can't wait to do some sort of modding to it and see what comes out of it. |

Hightech Hardware | Mar 25, 2009 | English | CoolerMaster Storm Sniper |
| CoolerMaster has brought to market a case that ranks very high. Their approach to aesthetics with the Sniper has paid off. Their goal was to model it after military weapons and it works. The case''s matte black only adds to the very distinctive looks. Performance of the case is good, the open design tends to help in the cooling of most components, while the mesh side panel doesn't add to the cooling of the GPU. Cooling performance at the high setting lead to an average 3 degree drop, so I don't see the need for the high setting with this current hardware set up.... | ||||

This mid tower follows the footsteps of its big brother the the CM HAF 932 with plenty of room for drives, expansion and cooling galore! PC Gamers going to a LAN party for example would love this case easy to grip handle as well as its security features for peripherals which shows the attention to detail Cooler Master has provided. | Workmanship of Cooler Master Storm Sniper is superb. Results of our tests showed that in some cases Sniper performed better and in some other worse than competition. Results depend on speed of fans that we set for each test. We didn’t test this chassis with fan set at half speeds because our experience showed that users set their fans on either maximum either minimum speed. Design of Cooler Master Storm Sniper is, by our humble opinion, exactly what gamers are looking for. Our final grade for this chassis is 9.5 (on 1 to 10 scale). Why not 10? | The CM Sniper STORM is indeed a gaming chassis. Even though it looks a bit massive it is easy to handle because of the holders. Also in terms of performance the two 200mm fans do a great air circulation. Because of the access and workmanship it is a enjoyment to change components. Many possibilities for the fan setup guarantee air cooling users a lot of possibilities to upgrade or restructure. Dust is for CM Sniper Storm not an issue because it has many dust filters – only one among the power supply is missing. Overall it is a really good gaming chassis.

Nevertheless is its worth its money because with this chassis you can find innovation and high quality materials and most important love for the details. Who can afford a Chassis for 149 Euro can for sure consider the sniper as his new chassis.

| Overall I am very happy with this case. Cooling is the same, or better than my previous case (depending on fan speed) and it looks better. The size of this case makes installation and upgrading easy. This case is also very well built. Everything seems sturdy which is sometimes hard to find in a case anymore.Everything works as Cooler Master says, and I haven't found anything major wrong with this case. | ||||

Benchmark Reviews | Jan 22, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Sniper CM Storm Case (9.0 out of 10) |
| Cooler Master established the CM Storm division to develop new products specifically targeted toward the gaming community. From what I've seen in this review, the Sniper Gaming Case certainly lives up to that reputation. Moreover, I believe the design features and cooling performance offered by the Sniper will entice non-gamers as well. | ||||

Orthy.de | Jan 21, 2009 | German | CM Storm Sniper - ins Schwarze getroffen? |
