Hardware Canucks | Nov 03, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sentinel Advance Mouse Review |
| Over the years I have used many so called “gaming mice” and most are OK
for playing games, but usually fall flat when it comes to the other 85%
of my computing experience. Heck, many gaming mice are epic failures at
mundane tasks like photo editing, surfing the web or even editing
spreadsheets. In my opinion, a mouse has to be comfortable for long
periods of time and be flexible enough to handle a variety of tasks
while still holding its own when gaming. The Cooler Master Storm
Sentinel Advance is one of those few mice that I liked enough that I
would not only see myself buying but also recommend to my friends. That
is high praise indeed. |

Hardware Canucks | Nov 03, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Storm Sentinel Advance Mouse Review |
| Is this mouse the perfect mouse we have all been looking for all these
years? No, it is not but like I said before: it is pretty darn close in
my opinion. For its kick ass performance, its flexibility and its good
ergonomics we feel fully justified in giving our highest accolade: the
Dam Good Award. As for its amazing and useful implementation of
technology (the OLED screen and properly implemented onboard memory) we
also feel justified in saying it is pretty Dam Innovative as well.
Congratulations Cooler Master for getting it so right the first time
out. We expect even better things in the future from the “Storm line”
and can hardly wait to see what you have in up your sleeves for the
enthusiast community next. |

Modders Inc | Nov 02, 2009 | English | Cooler Master Sentinel Advance Gaming Mouse |
| Cooler Masters Sentinel Advance Gaming Mouse has got to be one of the
funnest pieces of hardware that's come across my desk in a while. There
is so that you can do with this thing it's a hardware tweakers dream.
From the multiple lighting aspect, custom changeable DPI, OLED icon
creation, Macro's, Scripts and five different profiles to save to you
will have your hands full for weeks just trying everything out. In
short the options available with the Sentinel Advance are pure awesome. If that wasn't enough the thing fits like a glove and glides so sweetly across a mouse pad. I really have a hard time not recommending that everyone go out and get this mouse right now. There will however be those few that just don't like something about this mouse. Not every person is the same and not every piece of hardware does it for everyone. Believe me though there's a lot to love with the Sentinel, the only faults to find are the subtleties in the feel and use of it. If my word is enough for you to purchase it, I'm 99% sure you'll love it. |

| Upon first reading the specifications on the box I knew there and then that this mouse was truly superior to the Logitech G5. One of the really great features of this mouse had to be the on-board memory which allows you to store settings and eliminates the need to install the software on the computer to use it. I was very much surprised and impressed by the LED features of the mouse. I like the ability to change between 7 different colors on the LEDs. On that note, this mouse had to be the most customizable I've ever had. I really came to appreciate the bleeding edge 5600DPI and the precision of the dual tracking lasers is quite astounding. The comfort of this mouse was quite awesome, as it was easy to grip and it did fit my hand well. I would have to give props for the OLED screen which not only displays your current DPI settings, but also features a changeable logo so you could easily make this mouse your own. Last but not least, the price is only $69 and for only $69, this mouse packs a load of features that you might not find in competing brands. | ||||

| With out a doubt, Cooler Master has spared no expense in adding every possible feature and option a gamer could ask for in agaming mouse. The truly advanced with the scripting and macro support this first attempt from Cooler Master to take control of the gaming peripheral market has been a hit. I must say that Razer needs to watch out! The CM Storm series of products are strong and taking on the mouse aspect of gaming was a smart move. I loved the ergonomics as well which plays an important role when handing the mouse. The capability to remap all the buttons and customize it the way you want was intuitive and the profile and real time DPI switching was a nice touch. A definite recommended product for hard core gamers of any type. | ||||

| Not once have there been any odd tracking issues and with an infinite amount of DPI adjustments anyone can find their happy place. Now in an odd happening my wife actually likes the mouse, a rarity for gaming gear in my house. In a couple weeks of use I really can't knock the Sentinel Advance for anything other than the fact that lefties are left out in the cold. Cooler Master and their team at CM Storm have done their homework and have released one heck of a mouse in the Sentinel Advance. | ||||

| Overall I think Cooler Master has done what any company should do when entering a new market; they took their time and executed exactly as they should have. The result is one of the most polished mice I’ve seen from a company who is new to the gaming peripheral space. The look and feel of this mouse make it a perfect candidate to replace my admittedly failing Logitech MX1000. With a recommendation like that, it’s hard not to give the CM STORM Sentinel Advance gaming mouse our Editor’s Choice Award. | ||||

| The Coolermaster CM Storm Sentinel Advance is now my new favorite mouse. I fell in love with it five minutes after I plugged the mouse in the USB port. For the individual that has large hands, they will like the mouse as much as we did. The Sentinel is no dwarf. It is slightly longer than most mice and settles right into your palm like no other. And over all the looks of the Sentinel has a racer's edge look about it. It has flash and begs to be looked at and looked at hard. The glow that comes for the top and bottom of the Sentinel will make it a big hit at the local LAN party as it will be a one of a kind. | ||||

| If the appearance of the Sentinel Advance is outstanding, the functionality of this gaming mouse really takes the cake. The 8 programmable buttons would make it a formidable mouse alone, but the GUI that comes with the Sentinel Advance really sets the bar for gaming mouse functionality. With 5 profiles, DPI settings up to 5600 (able to be set individually by X and Y axis), keyboard functions, multi-media functions, and macros to let you program the mouse any way you want, there really is nothing on the market that touches the functionality of the CM Storm Sentinel Advance Laser Gaming Mouse right now. | ||||
